The cannabis edibles revolution: Harvin is ready!
Cannabis-based edibles have truly revolutionised the cannabis market – and not just in the United States and Canada, where the market is already so mature that large food companies such as Coca-Cola and Whole Foods have already filed patents and are planning a massive entry into the consumer market (and, in fact, Whole Foods has already started, as confirmed by its CEO).
But even in Europe, the legal cannabis and CBD market is growing rapidly – and edible products are gaining an increasingly large share. In North America, the CBD edibles sector is already well established.
What are cannabis edibles?
Let’s take a step back and clarify: what exactly is a cannabis edible?
An ‘edible’ is anything that can be eaten. In the cannabis market, this includes all food and drink products made from cannabis, hemp or CBD, as well as oils and supplements that the new green wave has made available on the market.

What began as a home-based activity – such as baking a few cannabis brownies or biscuits – has now become a genuine million-pound business.
The culture of “eating cannabis” has reached new heights, especially in places like California and Colorado, where Michelin-starred chefs are experimenting in the kitchen with fresh cannabis and all kinds of extracts. There are already 420 restaurants and even a television cooking show, “Bong Appétit” (by Vice Media), in which renowned chefs compete to create gourmet dishes based on marijuana.
Where to find cannabis edibles
Nowadays, you no longer need a Michelin-starred restaurant to try cannabis edibles: they can be found practically everywhere.
In European countries where consumption has been decriminalised and is now tolerated, such as in coffee shops in the Netherlands or Cannabis Social Clubs in Spain, it is possible to purchase THC edibles.
You can find everything from classic cannabis biscuits and brownies to THC or CBD gummies – which, for some reason, remain the global favourite (it’s a mystery of cannabis culture that we promise to explore soon 😄).
And then there’s everything else: chocolate bars, cakes, tarts, crêpes and much more.
At the last European cannabis fair we attended as exhibitors, we saw (and often tasted) real gourmet dishes made with cannabis: pizza, burgers, all kinds of pastries and even cannabis ice cream! (Yes, real ice cream, not the “Gelato” strain of marijuana!).
Bevande alla cannabis
Cannabis-infused beverages represent another rapidly growing sector in the edibles market.
The queen of cannabis-related events? Cannabis beer.
Whether it’s made from hemp or cannabis, it’s everywhere. And those who produce craft microbrews with cannabis always manage to hit the perfect taste: aromatic, slightly bitter, thirst-quenching and perfect for socialising.
If you haven’t tried it yet, now is the time to do so!
In the drinks sector, you will also find:
- CBD infusions and herbal teas
- Carbonated cannabis drinks
- And even an excellent Prosecco alla sativa!
Vending machines and the edible revolution
The edibles revolution is also affecting the world of vending machines.
While cannabis vending machines were initially used mainly for the sale of buds (and in many cases still are), we have seen a significant evolution in recent years.
More and more products are being sold through distributors: CBD oils, cosmetics, creams and even pet products.
Given the growing demand for edibles in vending machines, we at Harvin have decided to design a new model dedicated to the sale of cannabis and cannabis-based food and drink products. Naturally, this also includes oils, tinctures and cosmetics.
We therefore integrated a refrigerated module with a transparent display case, inspired by classic snack and beverage vending machines.
This is how our flagship model came about:
Master Revolution – The top of the Harvin range
Master Revolution is the refrigerated vending machine for cannabis-based products.
Its main features:
- Refrigeration system to maintain perishable foodstuffs at the optimum temperature: tea, soft drinks, beer, chocolate, biscuits and more.
- Internal lift for the safe distribution of fragile products
- Withdrawal hatch 80 cm above the ground, with electronic sensors
- Interchangeable spirals to adapt to different product formats
- Burglar-proof security lock to protect products
With its attractive Italian design, Master Revolution is perfect for:
- Shop windows
- Shopping centres
- High-traffic areas, including outdoor areas
It has a double loading door (front and rear) for convenient refilling without leaving the shop.
The dispenser can be fully customised with the customer’s logo and graphics for perfect visual integration into the point of sale.
Master Mix – The compact solution for edibles
Non hai abbastanza spazio per un Master Revolution?
